    Set up a little sorting game for using mini-erasers. Use letter b items–butterfly, bug, and ball.

    Butterfly Craft

    It is fun to make coffee filter butterflies! Let your preschoolers carefully dip the edges of the filter into the food coloring water you can set up in a muffin tin.

    You can use regular pipe cleaners or the funky fuzzy pipe cleaners—the ones that kind of look like giant caterpillars. You could use half of one pipe cleaner to make the caterpillar (just glue wiggle eyes on it) and the other half to fold over the tie-dyed coffee filter.

    Butterfly Art Lessons

    Nana has two butterfly art lessons! The larger, orange gulf fritillary butterfly is included in A Simple Start in Chalk Pastels course (perfect for preschoolers!). The butterfly on the left is part of her Hymns art lessons. This butterfly is included in her All Things Bright and Beautiful hymn which also includes a printable of the full poem and a nature observation printable!
